THE SLEEPING BEAUTY FAIRIES: REIMAGINED

A contemporary ballet by Yuki Tokuda.

“Inspired by the original The Sleeping Beauty Fairies and from Fruits of Spirit (Love, Joy, Peace, Forbearance, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, Self- control) by Galatians 5:22-23. This is a classic ballet composition originally composed by Tchaikovsky that I have adapted for our 8 dancers here. “ - Yuki Tokuda

Each costume was hand sewn and dyed by students in the Macalester College Costume Shop, under the direction of MaryBeth Gagner and Lily Turner.
